Get Relief with Ketamine infusions

About Ketamine:

At Gut Feelings, we understand that mental health challenges often reflect deeper imbalances in the body’s interconnected systems. IV ketamine therapy represents a powerful tool in our integrative approach to healing, offering rapid relief while supporting the restoration of balance between mind, body, and nervous system.

While IV ketamine therapy is typically not covered by insurance, we offer several financing options including CareCredit and Affirm to help make treatment accessible. Our staff can provide documentation for potential insurance reimbursement attempts.

How Ketamine Works:

Ketamine works differently from traditional antidepressants by modulating the NMDA receptor system and enhancing neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to form new neural connections. While not fully understood, this mechanism not only helps alleviate symptoms but also supports the restoration of healthy brain-body communication patterns. Recent research suggests ketamine may also influence the gut-brain axis, potentially helping to reset both neural and inflammatory pathways that contribute to mood disorders.

Our Personalized Approach

We recognize that each person’s journey is unique. Our ketamine protocol is carefully tailored to your specific needs:

  • Personalized Dosing: Treatment begins at an individualized dose based on your body weight and medical history, carefully adjusted to achieve optimal therapeutic benefit
  • Comprehensive Monitoring: Continuous vital sign monitoring using unobtrusive wrist and finger devices ensures your safety while maintaining the sanctity of your experience
  • Controlled Environment: Private treatment rooms with adjustable galaxy lighting and music options allow you to customize your setting for maximum comfort
  • Integration Support: Optional virtual integration sessions help you process insights and translate your experiences into lasting positive changes

Is Ketamine Right for You?

Ketamine works differently from traditional antidepressants by modulating the NMDA receptor system and enhancing neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to form new neural connections. This mechanism not only helps alleviate symptoms but also supports the restoration of healthy brain-body communication patterns. Recent research suggests ketamine may also influence the gut-brain axis, potentially helping to reset both neural and inflammatory pathways that contribute to mood disorders.

Beyond mental health conditions, ketamine therapy has shown promise for individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions, particularly when there’s a significant mind-body component to their symptoms. This aligns with our practice’s understanding of the deep connections between physical and emotional well-being.

We often find ketamine therapy particularly beneficial for people experiencing complex symptoms that don’t fit neatly into single diagnostic categories – those dealing with a combination of physical symptoms, emotional challenges, and stress-related conditions that affect both mind and body. If you recognize yourself in any of these descriptions, we encourage you to reach out for a consultation to discuss whether ketamine therapy might be an appropriate option for your healing journey.

Treatment Process:

Our evidence-based protocol consists of:

  • Initial Consultation: Comprehensive evaluation of your health history and treatment goals
  • Induction Phase: Six sessions typically completed over 3-4 weeks
  • Personalized Maintenance: Follow-up sessions scheduled according to your individual response and needs, ranging from weekly to monthly or bi-monthly
  • Integration Support: Preparation and integration sessions available with experienced therapists or coaches

  • Setting: Comfortable, private room with customizable ambient elements
  • Support: Continuous clinical monitoring with minimal interruption to your experience
  • Recovery: Short recovery period with transportation arrangements required

Highly Recommended

Dr. Mike and his team rock!!! It’s been a great experience working them as everyone is incredibly kind, empathetic and patient. They work hard to create a welcoming environment, and make you feel comfortable. Working with Dr. Mike is great because he is thorough, listens well, is very insightful, and is easy to talk too. It’s relaxed but very professional with good attention to detail. He’s also not afraid to challenge your assumptions and does so very respectfully – which I really appreciate. Dr. Mike is a great partner in working out the best path forward and creates confidence in the process. I have benefited from my time at Gut Feelings and learned so much about the gut/mind connection. And most importantly I feel better.

Thank you to everyone at the office!

I have been a patient here for about a year. I have several treatment resistant conditions and, becoming a patient, I was expecting another psychaitrist to come up with yet another drug cocktail which would maybe kind of help. Unlike every psychiatrist I’ve had, Dr. Mike still hasnt given up on me after trying several treatments. Despite the severity of my conditions, Dr. Mike told me we’re working towards “complete remission.” I laughed because I’ve never heard that from any of my prior practitioners, nor have I ever thought such a thing could be possible for me. Dr. Mike was serious. He’s continued down that path with me for the past year, introducing me to cutting edge treatments with very high success rates, and always learning about the latest treatments. Dr. Mike is a different type of psychiatrist. Important to say that his kind, disarming, and compassionate demenear is very calming and comforting. He’s hands on, makes himself available outside of office hours, and just easy to relate to.

After nearly 20 years of disappointing psychiatric providers, I recognize that Dr. Mike is exceptional. I know that I am very lucky to have an intelligent, compassionate, and driven psychiatrist who, despite the difficulty in treating my conditions, has not given up

The office staff is amazing (Mary and
Wayne) are so incredibly generous, warm, and unguarded, and always make a special effort to come say hi when I’m in the office.
