Dr. Hoaglin Saved My Life!!!
About two years ago, I experienced a manic episode and was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder. I was put on bipolar medication, which only made things worse, eventually leading to suicidal thoughts. That’s when I met Dr. Hoaglin, and everything changed. After carefully evaluating my situation, he correctly diagnosed my episode as substance-induced (triggered by weed) and linked it to my suppressed grief over losing my parents. As soon as he took me off bipolar meds, my suicidal thoughts disappeared. He then began treating my depression with the right medication, and I started feeling more functional and in control of my life. However, I struggled with taking medication regularly, and to be honest, I didn’t want to rely on meds long-term. Unlike other doctors who might have just prescribed more medications, Dr. Hoaglin suggested an alternative—Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The idea of daily treatments for two months sounded intimidating at first, but each session was painless, lasted only 15–20 minutes, and he even put on my favorite show to make it more enjoyable. During the TMS treatment, I didn’t notice any immediate changes, but a few months later, something incredible happened I woke up one day, and it was as if a switch had flipped. My anxiety, depression, and procrastination were completely gone! I felt like myself again—smiling more, being more active, and engaging better in my social relationships. One of the most surprising effects of the treatment was overcoming my long-standing struggle with smoking. For six years, I had difficulty quitting both tobacco and weed. After TMS, not only did I quit effortlessly, but I also can’t even stand being around smoke anymore! If you’re struggling with depression, I highly recommend Dr. Hoaglin and TMS. My only advice—based on personal experience—is to be patient. You might not feel a change right away but trust the process. It will happen! Thank you, Dr. Hoaglin, for giving me my life back! 🙌

Oliver OI highly recommend.
I’ve been battling anxiety and depression since childhood, and TMS is one of the few treatment options I feel is making a significant difference. Dr. Mike and his team far exceeds expectations of any health care service, which was a pleasant surprise considering the current state of the health care system, most especially mental health. I’m halfway through treatment and am noticing significant changes in mood, perspective and also social motivation. All in all I highly recommend.

Thank you to everyone at the office!
I have been a patient here for about a year. I have several treatment resistant conditions and, becoming a patient, I was expecting another psychaitrist to come up with yet another drug cocktail which would maybe kind of help. Unlike every psychiatrist I’ve had, Dr. Mike still hasnt given up on me after trying several treatments. Despite the severity of my conditions, Dr. Mike told me we’re working towards “complete remission.” I laughed because I’ve never heard that from any of my prior practitioners, nor have I ever thought such a thing could be possible for me. Dr. Mike was serious. He’s continued down that path with me for the past year, introducing me to cutting edge treatments with very high success rates, and always learning about the latest treatments. Dr. Mike is a different type of psychiatrist. Important to say that his kind, disarming, and compassionate demenear is very calming and comforting. He’s hands on, makes himself available outside of office hours, and just easy to relate to.

After nearly 20 years of disappointing psychiatric providers, I recognize that Dr. Mike is exceptional. I know that I am very lucky to have an intelligent, compassionate, and driven psychiatrist who, despite the difficulty in treating my conditions, has not given up

The office staff is amazing (Mary and Wayne) are so incredibly generous, warm, and unguarded, and always make a special effort to come say hi when I’m in the office.

Dr. Mike and his team rock!!!
It’s been a great experience working them as everyone is incredibly kind, empathetic and patient. They work hard to create a welcoming environment, and make you feel comfortable. Working with Dr. Mike is great because he is thorough, listens well, is very insightful, and is easy to talk too. It’s relaxed but very professional with good attention to detail. He’s also not afraid to challenge your assumptions and does so very respectfully - which I really appreciate. Dr. Mike is a great partner in working out the best path forward and creates confidence in the process. I have benefited from my time at Gut Feelings and learned so much about the gut/mind connection. And most importantly I feel better. Highly recommended.

I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Hoaglin and his Gut Feelings practice.
When searching for a psychiatrist in my area, I came across Dr. Mike Hoaglin, who evidently approaches mental health issues from a different perspective. His bio truly caught my attention, as did his dual degrees in medicine and engineering. I was not disappointed in the least when I met Dr. Hoaglin. His office offers a "TMS" treatment, making him one of the exclusive medical professionals offering this service. What most struck me, though, was his approachability and sincere concern. I contacted Dr. Hoaglin late one night out of fear for a medical emergency. He soon saw me in his office and made sure I would get immediate attention by going with me to the emergency room.
